Looking for a meaningful way to serve your community? Volunteering with Cooperative Extension is a great way to make a local impact while sharing your time and talents.
Extension volunteers support a variety of programs, including 4-H youth development, gardening and horticulture education, family and consumer sciences programming, community events, and advisory leadership. Whether mentoring youth, helping with workshops, assisting at events, or serving behind the scenes, there are opportunities to match many interests and schedules.
No special expertise is required for many roles, and training is provided to help volunteers feel prepared and confident. Specific opportunities include:

4-H Club Leader or Assistant (certification offered on a continuing basis)

Extension Master Gardener Volunteer (certification offered once per year)

Extension Master Foods Volunteer (certification offered once per year)

Extension Advisory Council Volunteer (training offered once per year)
Volunteering with Cooperative Extension is a chance to build new skills, connect with others, and help strengthen our community through research-based education and outreach.
