2026 4-H Photography Contest |
|
The Dr. Kim Ingold NC 4-H Photography Contest celebrates the creativity and accomplishments of NC 4-H youth and adult photographers. Through this contest, participants are encouraged to build their photography skills, explore creative techniques, and capture meaningful moments through their lens.
All entries must be submitted by August 13, 2026, at 5:00 p.m.

4-H News: NC Finishes Sixth Overall at National 4-H Shooting Sports Championship |
|
The North Carolina 4-H Shooting Sports delegation returned home with another strong national performance, earning a sixth place overall finish at the 26th Annual National 4-H Shooting Sports Championships, held June 22–27 in Grand Island, Nebraska.
This year's event brought together 767 youth from 42 states to compete in nine shooting sports disciplines. Representing North Carolina were 35 youth competitors, and nine coaches. Two of these competitors were from Buncombe County: Paul Banks and Tyler Williams!
Congratulations to Paul and Tyler for representing Buncombe County well at the National level!

Buncombe County 4-H is currently seeking passionate adult volunteers to assist in implementing the following 4-H programs: STEM & Electricity, Cooking and Sewing classes. The time commitment is flexible with your schedule and you will be making a lasting positive impact on kids in your community!
Volunteers are the key to success in the Buncombe County 4-H program. Whether you’re interested in starting a club and becoming a club leader or just have a few hours to invest, we have challenging and fun jobs for adults who want to make a difference in the lives of Buncombe County youth!
