Yancey County 4-H Newsletter

November, 2021
Happy Thanksgiving from Yancey County 4-H!

November is full of changes- falling leaves, cooler weather and daylight savings time ending. Be sure to turn your clocks back on Sunday, November 7th and enjoy the extra hour of sleep!

November is a great time to be with friends and family and remember everything you are thankful for.
We are so thankful for our Yancey County 4-H families and volunteers! From the Yancey County Cooperative Extension Staff, we wish all of our 4-H families and volunteers a Happy Thanksgiving!

2022 4-H Camp

Fall is here but it is already time to start thinking about 4-H Camp in 2022! Yancey County 4-H is excited to announce that we will be taking youth to Betsy Jeff Penn 4-H Camp in June of 2022.

Your child can look forward to a week of making new friends, swimming, horseback riding, archery, canoeing, rock climbing, games, campfires, sleeping in cabins, and much more. The life skills they learn at camp, including responsibility and independence, will help them in school, in their first jobs and for the rest of their lives.

Children ages 8-12 can attend traditional 4-H camp. Limited spaces are available for 13-14 year-olds in the Adventure and Trekker programs. Click the link below to learn more about 4-H Camp. We hope you will join us for an amazing summer adventure!
