Winterize Your Garden

Preparing your garden for winter is equally as important as the preparation, planning, and planting that takes place in the spring. Now that Autumn has arrived and temperatures are starting to cool, it is the perfect time to get outside and prepare your garden beds for winter.

Join us at
the N.C. Cooperative Extension, Currituck County Center on November 17, 2021, from 1 to 2:30 p.m. and learn the importance of cleaning and preparing your beds, and how to protect your plants from the cold winter temperatures at our free presentation called “Winterizing Your Garden.”

4-H Intro to Livestock/Poultry

Currituck County 4-H will host an informational meeting on Tuesday, November 23, 2021, starting at 6 p.m. The main topics we will be discussing during this informational meeting will be the 2022 Currituck Livestock and Poultry Programs. Register for this event at https://livestock-poultry2022.eventbrite.com. Participants can choose to attend in person or online via Zoom. Participants that choose the virtual setting will receive a Zoom link 48 hours prior to the meeting. This meeting will be geared towards parents, but youth are welcome to attend.
