Attention 2020 and 2021 High School Grads!
NC Longleaf Commitment Grant
Get up to $2800 for college tuition!
This grant will allow 2020 and 2021 high school graduates to attend one of the state’s community colleges. Eligible students are guaranteed to receive $700 to $2,800 per year for tuition and fees for a total of two years. Attached are three posters that may be shared with your 4-H youth, posted in N.C. Cooperative Extension offices, or shared with public school teachers for posting. This program is set to conclude the spring semester of 2023. Learn More>

Applications due January 24th
4-H Scholarship and 4-H Honor Club
4-H Scholarship and 4-H Honor Club Applications are due to Raleigh by February 1st. Nash County requires applications to be submitted by January 24, 2022 to our office. 4-H Seniors are encouraged to apply for the 4-H Scholarships. Also, teens 16 and older that have been active 4-H Club members are encouraged to apply to become a member of the 4-H Honor Club. Applications

Have you every wanted to travel to another state and meet other 4-H members?
If you missed the in November meeting - it's not too late - membership is still open. Sign up for the 2 year rotation - one year you travel to them and one year they travel to you. This is a great way to see states you have never seen. Ages 14 to 18

Communication Education for Parents and Caregivers
Empowering Youth & Families Program

This program is designed to help family members build communication skills and also help parents and caregivers communicate positively. Blessing Box

Located at 1006 Eastern Avenue in Nashville
The Nash County 4-H Blessing Box is located on the southeast corner of the Nash County Arboretum in Nashville. The Blessing Box is a miniature pantry open to the public and is stocked with non-perishable food items, basic toiletries, baby supplies and anything else that might be considered a blessing to someone who finds themselves in need. The box is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. If you are interested in donating to the box please call 252.459.9810.

Nash County 4-H Lending Library

The Nash County 4-H Teen Clovers have set up a children's Lending Library outside the Nash County Agriculture Center in Nashville. The Lending Library has been set up for parents, grandparents or a caring adult to borrow books to share with their children at home. Simply pick up a book and when you are finished return it and pick up another one.
This library is available to the public.
