This series will be held in person at the Lexington Public Library, 602 S. Main St., Lexington, NC.
Pesticide "X" Specialty Training Classes

2022 Auxin Herbicide – Best Management Practices

1.0 Hour of Credit available for categories N, O, D, and X


You will have two options to participate in this training.  


Option 1: Participate in a virtual (live Zoom) meeting.  

Description: Drs. Charlie Cahoon and Wesley Everman will offer 6 Live Zoom training options. See training dates below.  All Live Zoom trainings will start at 8:30 AM.

Option 2:  Davidson Co. Agriculture Center, in a group setting

Description: You will come to the auditorium and watch a live Zoom Presentation given Drs. Charlie Cahoon and Wesley Everman.  We have scheduled 2 opportunities for you to do this.

To attend you must call in, (336) 242-2080, to reserve a seat and provide your name, phone number, county, and NCDA&CS Certification/License number

  • Tuesday, February 1, 2022, - 8:30 – 9:30 a.m.
  • Tuesday, March 1, 2022, – 8:30 – 9:30 a.m.
Pesticide "V" Safety Training Classes

If your NCDA&CS Private Pesticide Applicator Certification will expire December 31, 2022,
you must obtain 2 hours of "V" Safety training by September 30, 2022, to maintain your
certification and renew your applicator card. This class is only for certified applicators that
expire in 2022.

We have scheduled 3 private applicator "V" safety training class in Davidson County.
  • Tuesday, February 1, 2022, 9:45 - 11:45 a.m.
  • Tuesday, March 1, 2022, 9:45 - 11:45 p.m.
  • Tuesday, March 1, 2022, 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.

They will be held in the Auditorium of the Davidson County Agriculture Center. You must pre-
register to attend one of these sessions to ensure yourself a seat at the time you would like to
attend. Register online here.

You must scroll to the bottom of the page and select the class you want to attend.  If something were to change our ability to conduct this class in person, such as COVID-19, your pre-register will be essential to make you aware of any changes.

In the event of adverse weather:  Classes will be canceled for winter weather if Davidson County Government offices (not School System) are closed.
Southern Farm Show
The Southern Farm Show is planned for February 2-4, 2022 at the NC State Fairgrounds in Raleigh. This will be the gathering for over 400 ag companies with the latest and best farm equipment, supplies and services. This is a place you can compare price and quality and talk with company representatives. As a bonus, admission and parking are FREE! Click here for more information and a schedule of events.
Corn & Soybean Growers

Recognition & Appreciation Dinner

Tuesday, February 8, 2022, 6:00 p.m.


I would like to invite all corn, soybean and small grain growers to attend the Recognition and Appreciation Dinner.  The dinner has been scheduled for Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at Yarbrough’s Restaurant, located at 321 Marco Blvd, Lexington, NC 27295.

We plan to recognize Yield Contest Winners and On-Farm Test and Demonstration Cooperators for 2021 and 2020 (We did not get to do this in 2020 due to COVID-19).  We have NCSU Specialist, Dr. Ron Heiner, scheduled to attend and speak about corn production decisions relative to current fertilizer prices (triple that of 2021).  The program will also offer 1.0 hours of pesticide credit, Categories N, O, D, and X.

If you have trouble with Eventbrite or do not have access to this technology, please contact our office directly at (336) 242-2080.  Leave a message with your return phone number and/or email and specify that you would like to attend the Corn Program at Yarbrough’s.  We will return your call or email to confirm your registration for attendance.
