4-H Shout Outs

Thanks to all of those who have already enrolled in 4-H for 2022! We have 111 enrollments that have already been entered and approved!

Nathan Croyle, German Jaramillo, Samantha Simon, and Christian Stebe attended the South Central District 4-H Winter Enrichment in Kannapolis! Thanks for representing Rowan County at this event!
PLEASE COMPLETE THE FOLLOWING FOR OUR ACHIEVEMENT PROGRAM:

1. Each parent should complete the following Achievement Program Certificate form to make sure their child's certificate is accurate. Must be completed by Feb. 15 in order for the child to get a year of service pin and for their achievements to be printed on the form.

2. Families will need to RSVP to attend the Achievement Program in 4-HOnline under "events". Currently this is not available since 4-HOnline is down. I will notify you once you can do this. Due by Feb. 15.

3. Please note that due to Covid & space limitations, each family can only have the 4-H'ers and up to 2 additional family members attend the event. Please make plans now for childcare for younger non-4-H age children. We apologize for the inconvenience.

4. In the event that Covid restrictions become more stringent and an indoor, in-person event is not possible, this event will be moved outdoors. If this happens, please bring a lawn chair and bundle up for a quick, outdoor Achievement Program!

North Carolina 4-H hosting bimonthly virtual volunteer training series for all 4-H volunteers

All registration will be done through 4-H online and sessions will be held over Zoom.  In order to participate in these sessions, participants are expected to have a computer camera (with the camera turned on) and a microphone.

After each session, those that attend the entire session and participate, will receive a link to a session quiz.  If the quiz is taken within a week and the participant scores a 90% or higher they will receive an electronic certificate of training completion for their volunteer record.  If a volunteer successfully completes all 6 trainings (including the quizzes), they will receive a mailed certificate, a 4-H volunteer nametag and other items they can use in their work as a 4-H volunteer. The 6 sessions which will be offered are some of the 4-H foundation topics that all volunteers need to know.

These trainings are free of charge and open to all NC 4-H Volunteers.  Each session is entered as a different "event" in 4-H Online.  Registration will close 7 days prior to the session date and a specific Zoom link will be sent for each session to all registered participants.

Rowan 4-H Volunteer Reporting for 2022
