Yancey County 4-H Newsletter

April, 2022
Happy Spring!

Warmer weather is upon us and that means summer is just around the corner! Spring is an exciting time in 4-H. Youth are receiving their animals for livestock projects this year and gardening plans are underway.  Are you looking for a way for you kids to get outdoors and have fun while learning? Check out the opportunities below for all the April 4-H Events and Activities.
4-H Presentations

It is that time of year again, 4-H Presentation time! This is a fun event where youth can share skills, knowledge, and excitement about their 4-H project or anything they are interested in. Public speaking is one of the TOP skills that 4-H alumni say they have learned through the 4-H program that they have used in their college and adult life. We encourage ALL AGES to do a 4-H Presentation and encourage our younger 4-Hers to start doing them early.

We will be holding a 4-H Presentation workshop on Thursday, April 21st from 5:30-7pm. Here, 4-H'ers can learn more about presentation requirements, get help in creating their presentation and more! Dinner will be provided to workshop participants.
