4-H Volunteer Upcoming Trainings & Opportunities

SAVE THE DATE for the spring in-person NC Volunteer training day (to replace VLA Conference). REGISTER NOW in 4-HOnline under "events" if you want to attend! Rowan County 4-H PALS will be covering the registration fee.

North Carolina 4-H hosting bimonthly virtual volunteer training series for all 4-H volunteers

All registration will be done through 4-H online and sessions will be held over Zoom.  In order to participate in these sessions, participants are expected to have a computer camera (with the camera turned on) and a microphone.

After each session, those that attend the entire session and participate, will receive a link to a session quiz.  If the quiz is taken within a week and the participant scores a 90% or higher they will receive an electronic certificate of training completion for their volunteer record.  If a volunteer successfully completes all 6 trainings (including the quizzes), they will receive a mailed certificate, a 4-H volunteer nametag and other items they can use in their work as a 4-H volunteer. The 6 sessions which will be offered are some of the 4-H foundation topics that all volunteers need to know.

These trainings are free of charge and open to all NC 4-H Volunteers.  Each session is entered as a different "event" in 4-H Online.  Registration will close 7 days prior to the session date and a specific Zoom link will be sent for each session to all registered participants.

Rowan 4-H Volunteer Reporting for 2022

If you are registered as a 4-H Volunteer in 4-HOnline it is super important that you report your hours and contacts! This greatly assists Laura with her Extension reports every year, since your hours and contacts must be reported!

Please go to go.ncsu.edu/2022monthly4hreportrowan and complete your reports. Reports are due 10 days after the end of each month (January contacts due by Feb. 10). Email reminders will be sent to those who should be completing reports. It should only take about 5 minutes!
