Ag Exploration Camp

June 13 - 17 8:30 am - 3:00 pm

Rising: 5th, 6th, 7th & 8th Graders

Cost: $20 Limit: 25

Location: Caswell Parks & Rec Gym

We hear a lot about agriculture and even live in an agriculture rich county. However, how much do you know about real agriculture? During this camp, we will explore current ways we produce food and fiber, careers, get a great look at how the food gets to the grocery store and much more! You will "meet" amazing professionals from all over the country. T-shirt, lunch and snacks provided.

Cloverbud Camp

June 23 & July 7 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Age: 5 - 7
(must have attended Kindergarten)

Cost: $5 Limit: 20

Location: Agricultural Building

Come join Mrs. Brandi and friends to learn about 4-H! We have so much to offer and this two day camp will give your little one a chance to explore! We will be meeting new people, learning new things and of course having a great snack during our time together!

Painting with Mrs. Kathy

July 11th

Age: 5 - 8 Time: 9am - Noon

Would you like to learn more about art and painting? This workshop is designed for our younger youth. Everyone will learn more about the parts of a brush, colors, kinds of brushes and painting techniques. Participants will paint an acrylic painting on a 12x16 stretched canvas and take their finished product home!

Magic of Electricity

July 21 9:30 am - 3:30 pm

Age: 8 - 14

Cost: $10 Limit: 10

Location: Agricultural Building

Rockingham County 4-Hers will be joining us to learn about electricity! Do you know how the electricity runs through your house and makes the lights come on? Come join us for a fun filled time of learning about electricity. We will have the power company there to tell us about careers, do Magic of Electricity activities as well
as make a lamp of your own to take home.

BRING: Your own lunch and an empty clean drink can for a project.

Safe Sitter

July 22  8:30 am - 4:30 pm

Age: 11-14

Cost: $25 Limit: 12

Location:  Agricultural Building

The program is medically accurate and teaches youth how to handle emergencies when caring for younger children. During the class, students get hands-on practice in basic lifesaving techniques so they are prepared to act in a crisis. To successfully complete the program, students must pass a rigorous practical and written test to show that they have mastered the key concepts and have the skills necessary to handle an emergency.

4-H Investigates

July 26-28 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Rising 6th, 7th, & 8th graders

Cost: $20 Limit: 10

Location: Meet at Ag Building Back Parking lot
4-Hers will travel to Lexington

Would you like to learn more about solving crimes and the career opportunities? Well if so, this is the program for you. Participants will become detectives to solve a mock "murder"mystery. Solve this crime by exploring various techniques including blood typing, fingerprint analysis, impression analysis, hair analysis, blood spatter & DNA evidence. (Parents be advised that field trips may include places such as county jail and courthouse).
Transportation, T-shirt, lunch and snacks are provided.

4-H Robotics Camp

August 2-4 8:30 am - 4:00 pm

Rising 6th, 7th, & 8th graders

Cost: $20 Limit: 12

Location: Meet at Ag Building Back Parking lot
4-Hers will travel to Wentworth

This 4-H Robotics Camp is like no other you have ever been to! You will get a chance to use multiple types of Robotics programs. You will build a catapult then you will move onto more advanced robotics curricula where you get to build with Legos! We will be using the WeDo, EV3, Spike Lego Kits. You will learn how to program your robots to move and complete a task using computer programming. We hope to incorporate indoor drones as well. This program is for youth who love science and love to design things! Lunch and snacks will be provided.

Hunter Safety

August 5th

Recommended age 6th grade & Up

Cost: Free

Location: Agricultural Building

This course meets the hunter education requirement for all first-time hunting license buyers in North Carolina.

Life Skills Camp

August 8 - 10 8:15 am - 4:15 pm

Ages: 9-18

Cost: $20 Limit: 12

Location: Meet at Ag Building Back Parking lot
4-Hers will travel to Greensboro

Everyone needs to learn basic life skills! Come have fun with hands on experiences learning more about cooking, budgeting, pet care, doing laundry, sewing, car maintenance, working with tools and learning first aid and more. Transportation, T-shirt, lunch and snacks provided.

Registration
4-H Summer Fun is sponsored/supported by Caswell County 4-H through N.C.Cooperative Extension, Caswell County, Piedmont Electric Membership Corporation and many other partners. Please adhere to the age requirements set for each activity. Activities are open to all youth. Classes are filled on a first-come, first-serve basis. Refunds will only be made if 4-H cancels your class. All Caswell County 4-H Summer Fun classes will be in person. All youth will be dropped off in Yanceyville. Please note specific locations.

All registration will be online through 4-H Online 2.0. 4honline enrollment is required before registration begins because you will not be able to register for 4-H events until your 4-H online account is approved.

All workshop details are listed in this brochure, registration will go live in 4-HOnline Wednesday, April 27th at 8:00 a.m. Once live you will see the workshops your child is eligible for under the ‘Events’ section in 4honline to the left under your profile. All registration is done online through 4-H Online at https://v2.4honline.com Once your 4-H enrollment for Caswell County has been approved you will be able to access 4-H Summer Fun under the "Events". Register for each program individually that you would like to attend. After submitted you should receive an email that says "Registration Submitted" This does not guarantee your spot just yet! To ensure we are not exceeding our maximum capacity, the Caswell County 4-H will approve each registration as it comes in. You will then receive another email stating your space is reserved with "Registration Approved" or that you have a spot on the waiting list. After online registration is completed, payments are due in the office within seven (7) business days of registration. If your payment is not received within 7 days, your registration will no longer be valid and you will be moved to the bottom of the waiting list.

Note: If you need more information on how to enroll in 4honline please contact the 4-H office before April 27th.

If you do not have access to the internet you can use the Gunn Memorial Public Library’s computers located at 161 Main St. in Yanceyville at no cost.

Our office is located in the Agricultural Building 126 Court Square, Yanceyville, NC.

We are open Monday - Friday from 8 am - 5 pm. If you are mailing your payment please send them to: Caswell County 4-H, PO Box 220, Yanceyville, NC 27379.

We accept cash and checks payable to: Caswell County If your child is unable to attend a class after they have signed up, please let our office know as soon as possible.

Please note: *Ages are by January 1st of the year. *All youth must have attended kindergarten before attending.

*If your child does not follow the code of conduct; they will be asked to leave and no refunds will be given. *Please adhere to the time frame of the programs. Drop off and pick up according to time stated.

I want to enroll in Caswell County 4-H.  What do I do? 
First start by enrolling in 4-H online!


If your child is a current 4-H’er, please go to 4-H Online to re-enroll them because we cannot wait to have them back in our program for 2022!

If you are new to the program, welcome and we are so happy to have you! Please enroll your child into our program by creating 4-H Online account for them. Access 4-H Online through this link: https://v2.4honline.com/. Please also remember that 4-H volunteers need to re-enroll as well! Everyone should enroll in 4-H before attending a 4-H program.
