The Agricultural Advisory Board is seeking volunteers to serve on the Board. The purpose of the Board is to review and approve applications for qualified farmland and voluntary agricultural districts and make recommendations concerning the establishment and modification of agricultural districts, to hold public hearings, and to perform other related tasks as assigned.

West Marion Community Forum, Inc. will be hosting the inaugural Juneteenth Freedom Festival in McDowell on Friday, June 17 to Sunday, June 19. The event will take place at various locations in McDowell. Juneteenth is the oldest known celebration commemorating the ending of slavery in the United States. All are invited to attend and build community.
