Want to learn how to sew? Then be sure to sign up for Clay County 4-H summer camp July 18-22 at Clay County Community Center.

4-H Congress is an annual educational event sponsored by North Carolina 4-H and planned by the State 4-H Council and Congress Advisory Committee. North Carolina 4-H’ers ages 13-18 are invited to participate in this annual event.

 
 
 
Are you preparing to enter the workforce or attend college? Then AIRE is a program you don't want to miss! This program will allow you to sharpen your application, interview, video, & resume skills! Click here for more info
 
 
The North Carolina Association of County Commissioners and North Carolina 4-H partner together to plan an annual event in August for youth (ages 14-18) to attend. During this event, the youth will be able to meet other teens and county officials from across the state. There are various activities in this 2 day event which is paid for by the NC Association of County Commissioners. If you are interested in attending, please get in touch with Julie Lyvers, 828-389-6305. The youth will need to be registered in 4-H online and present at a Commissioner's meeting before attending in August. Click here for more info.

Raised Garden Beds
Students at Clay County Schools Discovery Program have been hard at work tending to their raised garden beds, sponsored by Clay County 4-H.

The seeds have been planted and have started growing. Soon, the students will be able to harvest the first of their crops.
