Looking at the current enrollment records, we have folks working on projects in the
areas of Swine, Poultry, Electricity, Pets, Citizenship, Engineering,
Cooking, Food Sciences, Career Exploration, Communication Skills, Aquatics, Butterflies,
Character, Leadership, Money Management, Personal Development, Arts, Drama,
Photography, Healthy Living, Archery, Hunting, Outdoor Adventure, Sewing, & Wildlife.

In June do a Community Service Project with your club, your family, at a 4-H event, or individually. Don't forget to record your hours in the record book.
4-H Embryology: What Do You Call a Mischievous Egg?

About a month ago we delivered fourteen dozen fertilized eggs and incubators to fourteen elementary classes in Lee County. Beginning the first of May, broiler chicks began to hatch in these classrooms around the county. NC State’s Poultry Education Unit provided these eggs to our county this year and students were able to learn about life cycles through the experiential learning model that is integral to the 4-H program. Recently my family and I went on a weekend adventure. For four days we exchanged the comforts of home for the beauty of the great outdoors. We went camping. There is something wonderful about the sounds of the night coming from the other side of the tent, the flicker of a flashlight in the trees after dark, and the smoky scents of campfire residue on all my clothes. I highly recommend camping as a great way to get the kids unplugged and outdoors. There are many camping opportunities in and around Lee County and this time our adventure happened at Jordan Lake. There are also many different ways to camp. Our way is to take everything but the kitchen sink and back up to the camp....  Learn More »
