Creative talent is a competition that offers a variety of different categories that include art, photography, craft/hobbies, and creative writing. Mrs. Fannie Clyburn and Rev. NC State Graduate Student Interning With Anson Cooperative Extension for the Summer.

As a young man growing up, I always took pride in my community. I am originally from Brooklyn, NY and during the summers I grew up in a "community center and camp" life. Currently working in the education field, I have seen first-hand how key elements like exposure, education, and support can play a role in the development of not just youth, but a community as a whole. I had no idea of the amount of opportunities and contributions that could be applied towards the needs of the community. Being here to support the Anson County Extension office has shown me so many levels of support that is provided through 4-H that I will forever be humbled and supportive. I thank my amazing wife Christina, NC State University and the Anson County Extension office for this opportunity to make a difference.
Thomas McDowell is an N.C. State graduate student interning with the Anson Extension office in Wadesboro. Please welcome Thomas!
