If you are in the freezer meat business, you know it comes with its own unique set of challenges. Come and join us to learn more about selling meat and tools to utilize with Matt LeRoux from Cornell Extension. He developed the MeatSuite website and meat pricing calculator and will be joining us to talk about strategies, tactics, tools to utilize, and how to make the most out of what you’re selling. Lee Menius & Sarah Blacklin from NC Choices will also be joining us and providing insight on selling meat locally in North Carolina.

Farm Business Resource Roundtable events are planned for various locations around WNC. Locations include Jackson, Swain, Graham, Macon, & Cherokee counties. https://cefs.ncsu.edu/event/farm-business-roundtable-resources-for-agribusiness-entrepreneurs/ These events will have representatives from Small Business Center, UDSA - NRCS, FSA, NC Cooperative Extension, WNC AgOptions, and Empowering Mountain Food Systems.
 
AgOptions Grant Informational Session

Western NC Meat Goat Conference

The Western NC Meat Goat Conference will be October 28 in Fletcher, NC. There is a great educational program planned followed by the Carolina Kiko Classic Goat Sale on October 29 at the same location. More information and registration can be found here.
