Sponsor a Kid to Congress!
We are seeking sponsorships to 4-H'ers to NC 4-H Congress this July. Registration fees are $250 per child, and we have two 4-H'ers to send - up from zero in at least 6 years! Donations in any amount offset the cost for 4-H families. It is our goal to send 2 Stanly youth to 4-H congress at no cost to their families. We are hoping to raise $500, and donations in any amount help offset the cost for Stanly County families.
NC 4-H Congress is an annual statewide event presented by NC 4-H and planned by 4-H Youth. For more than a century, this experience has brought together 4-H teens from across the state to the NCSU Campus to learn, lead and serve. Teens attend personal development workshops, conduct service projects, go on educational tours & experiences, attend awards banquets, elect state 4-H officers and more. Want to sponsor a Stanly 4-H'er?

Stanly General Interest Club
At their June meeting, Stanly 4-H Club members rolled up their sleeves to serve our community. On June 3 at 5pm, the club met outside their typical Ag Center meeting location at Rock Creek Park in Albemarle to clean up litter and explore the creek. The meeting concluded with several bags of trash removed from the park, several salamanders and tadpoles caught and released and lots of fun had by all. The General Interest Club hopes you'll join them at an upcoming meeting - first Wednesdays at 5pm at the Stanly Agri Civic Center! Follow this club's Facebook page and learn about all Stanly 4-H clubs on our website. |
