NC Arbor Day - March 22, 2024
Nationally, Arbor Day is celebrated on the last Friday of April. However, most states observe a separate
Arbor Day on a date of their choosing in accordance with the best tree-planting times. In North Carolina, we celebrate Arbor Day on the first Friday following March 15. This year, NC Arbor Day falls on Friday, March 22. Arbor Day is all about giving thanks to your trees.
Be on the lookout this month for suggestions on the many ways you can celebrate NC Arbor Day. Be sure to follow our Facebook, X (formally Twitter), and LinkedIn for a virtual NC Arbor Day celebration all week long with our fellow NC Forestry friends. Keep an eye on the hashtag, #NCForestsUnited for lots of resources!
