Did You Know
Can I grow a vegetable garden in Durham?

Many foods can be grown at home whether you have a small yard, a balcony, or just a sunny window. The key is to have at least 6 hours of sunlight a day in a spot around your home. In-ground beds can be installed in small yards to grow all kinds of vegetables. Containers can be used to grow vegetables year-round in our region. Herbs can be easily grown inside the home so long as they get enough sun through a south-facing window. Feel free to visit us at Briggs Community Garden on Friday and Saturday mornings from 8am to 11am to ask for help.
