The Alexander County Cattlemen's Association is currently selling gun raffle tickets to support their youth scholarship program. Tickets are $10.00 each and can be purchased at AgSouth Farm Credit in Taylorsville or at the Alexander County Cooperative Extension Center. The drawing will take place on Tuesday, July 16th at the Alexander County Cattlemen's Meeting. If you are interested in joining the Alexander County Cattlemen's Association please contact the Alexander County Cooperative Extension Center or President Bryant Chapman.

If you are in need of fresh, local produce, honey, baked goods, eggs, beautiful planters for your porch, perennials for your flower beds, handmade jewelry or crafts, you have got to visit the Alexander County Farmers Market! The Taylorsville Market is held every Saturday from 8am to Noon and we also have the Bethlehem Market (located at Mount Bethel Methodist Church off Hwy 127) that runs every Thursday from 3-6pm. We have so many awesome vendors that we are THRILLED to have! If you are in town

Alexander 4-H Update
June has been very busy with 4-H Summer Opportunites beginning, but wow what a blast we have had. Many of the Alexander 4-H Clubs will take a break from meeting this summer, but there will be some that continue to meet.
